The first powered spinal surgery tool
BYGG design's prinicpal engineered the first powered spinal surgery tool. The Medtronic Powerease features an incredibly compact design. The carefully engineered drivetrain lets the surgeon switch from power driving screws to a manual ratchet mode, allowing ultimate feel and control, whilst limiting physical exertion in long procedures.
Sam Adams Beercan
Elevating the taste experience of a can
Beverage cans are incredible feats of engineering and high volume production. When Sam Adams decided to bring their beer to the humble beercan, they sought to elevate the experience to match drinking from a pint glass, without compromising the production efficiencies of beercans.
The solution was in seemingly subtle changes of the lid. A larger diameter lid, with an aperture set in from the edge, and a taller lip contribute to a much improved drinking experience, similar to a wide open pint glass.

High Performance Treadle Pump
The Baby Buffalo was designed for rural farmers in Myanmar. Extensive field work revealed the portability, performance, and maintenance issues with existing treadle pumps.
The Baby Buffalo pump design makes selective use of advanced manufacturing methods to increase efficiency and ease replacement of wear parts, in a significantly more compact and portable design.

Feats of engineering
Dynamic Testers are critical for petroleum well management. These engineering marvels are lowered 1000's of feet down into narrow wells, where they can penetrate the well casing, collect fluid samples, and perform fluid flow analytics that determine the remaining reservoir size.
This "downhole environment" is one of the harshest on earth, subjecting the complex instruments to extreme temperatures, pressure, and mechanical shock. BYGG design has experience designing microhydraulic systems, electronics packaging, and novel mechanical actuators for these instruments.
